Story
When obscenely rich hedge-fund manager James is convicted of fraud and sentenced to a stretch in San Quentin, the judge gives him one month to get his affairs in order. Knowing that he won't survive more than a few minutes in prison on his own, James desperately turns to Darnell-- a black businessman who's never even had a parking ticket -- for help. As Darnell puts James through the wringer, both learn that they were wrong about many things, including each other.
Summary
When obscenely wealthy hedge-fund manager James is sentenced to a decade in San Quentin for fraud, he realizes his pampered life won't survive prison's harsh realities. Desperate, he turns to Darnell, a successful black businessman who's never faced so much as a parking ticket. Mistakenly believing Darnell to be an ex-con, James hires him for mentorship. In exchange, Darnell sees this as an opportunity to secure funds for his family's dream home. Through intense prison simulations, both men undergo unexpected transformations, discovering their preconceived notions about each other and themselves were deeply flawed.
