Story
After serving a 25-year sentence, Joris Fragnière returns home to Horizonville, a Swiss valley community obsessed with Americana and classic American values. Upon his arrival at the gas station named 'Station Horizon', where the Valais and American flags fly side-by-side, Joris is confronted by his past demons: his brother Charly, his childhood rival Raymond, and Latin beauty Cheyenne. As he navigates this Wild West atmosphere filled with poker games, strippers, country music, and fighting at Bar 66, Joris must face the challenges of his new reality while honoring his recently deceased father.
Summary
Station Horizon is a poignant and original French-language comedy-drama set in an isolated Swiss valley community that has embraced classic American values and freedom. The series follows ex-con Joris Fragnière as he returns home after two decades, bringing with him the threat of modern society's encroachment upon their Americana-obsessed lifestyle. With its striking visuals featuring gleaming American cars and horses grazing in meadows, Station Horizon is a distant cousin of Wyoming, USA. As Joris confronts his past and the town's future, the oddly endearing inhabitants search for elsewhere but find solace at home.
