Aleksandra Pleskonjić (often credited as Aleksandra Pleskonjić Ilić) is a distinguished Serbian actress and writer, born on October 23, 1955, in Sombor, Serbia (then PR Serbia, FPR Yugoslavia). She was born into a theatrical family as the daughter of actor Tihomir Pleskonjić and the sister of actor Mihajlo Pleskonjić.

Pleskonjić pursued her passion for the arts at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, where she studied drama under the mentorship of Branko Pleša and graduated in 1980. Immediately following her studies, she became a full-time member of the drama ensemble at the Serbian National Theatre (SNP) in Novi Sad, where she has remained a prominent figure for over four decades. Her extensive career spans theater, film, and television, with notable roles in movies such as Veliki transport (1983), Sabirni centar (1989), and Memo (2004).

Throughout her career, she has received several prestigious accolades, including the Gold Medal at the Zmaj Children's Games in 1993 and the Liberty Statuette for her acclaimed portrayal of Paulina Salas in Ariel Dorfman’s "Death and the Maiden". Born on December 14, 1983, in Belgrade, Serbia (formerly Yugoslavia), she spent her childhood in the capital and often visited her grandparents in Pljevlja during the summers. Her birth name is Borka Tomović; there is no public record of a different maiden name, as she has maintained her family name throughout her career.

Her journey into acting began in a drama studio toward the end of elementary school, eventually leading her to the prestigious Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. Since her professional debut, she has become a staple of Serbian television and theater. Before her breakout role as Vesna Đurić in Black Wedding, she gained widespread fame for her work in the long-running series Istine i laži and the youth program Fazoni i fore.

Story

In 'Crna Svadba', a grisly massacre leaves twelve villagers dead, with the sole survivor being the killer himself who attempts suicide but remains alive.
