Represented by an agency in Manchester, she quickly became a sought-after face for global advertising campaigns, working in major fashion capitals such as London, Paris, Milan, and Tokyo.

Her most enduring contribution to pop culture came in 1984 when she was cast as the lead female role in the music video for Wham!’s "Last Christmas". In the iconic holiday video, she played the former girlfriend of George Michael, whose reappearance at a ski resort with a new partner (played by Andrew Ridgeley) forms the emotional core of the story. That same year, Hill made a notable appearance in the cult horror-thriller "Blind Date" (1984), directed by Nico Mastorakis.
