Alyona Barkova (Russian: Алёна Дмитриевна Баркова) is a Russian theater and film actress. She was born on April 20, 1980, in St. Petersburg (then Leningrad, Soviet Union). Her given birth name is Elena.
Barkova's career is marked by a deep academic background; she graduated from the St. Petersburg State University's School of International Relations in 2002 before pursuing her passion for the arts at the St. Petersburg Theater Academy, from which she graduated in 2006. Since her graduation, she has been a prominent ensemble member of the St. Petersburg Lensoviet Theater, performing in over 20 different stage productions, including classics like Crime and Punishment and Eugene Onegin.
In addition to her extensive stage work, Barkova has appeared in more than 30 film and television projects. Her notable screen credits include roles in the popular crime series Investigation Secrets, the drama Inhale-Exhale, and the 2019 film Odessa, where she played Vera, the captain's wife. A versatile performer, she is fluent in English and French, and possesses basic knowledge of German.
