Full Biography
J.J. North (born Janey Jaye North; December 13, 1964 – November 30, 2024) was an American actress and model best known for her prominent roles in low-budget, straight-to-video exploitation films during the 1990s. Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, North initially launched her career after winning a local beauty contest, leveraging her pageant success into work as a pin-up model and later, an actress in the B-movie circuit.
Her most recognized role came in 1995 when she starred as Angel Grace in the title role of the Fred Olen Ray-directed science-fiction comedy Attack of the 60 Foot Centerfold. The film was a spoof of the classic Attack of the 50 Foot Woman and became a cult classic among fans of the genre.
Throughout her acting career, North appeared in numerous other notable B-movies, often produced by production companies like Axis Films or directed by figures like Fred Olen Ray and Jim Wynorski. Her filmography includes titles such as Vampire Vixens from Venus, Psycho Sisters, Vice Academy 5, and Hellblock 13.
North eventually retired from acting in the late 1990s. Following her departure from film, she transitioned careers entirely, becoming a female professional wrestler for the organization Roman Gladiator Wrestling, a role she maintained until 2006. She passed away on November 30, 2024, at the age of 59.
