Full Biography
Born on October 19, 1981, in Jena, East Germany, Karoline Schuch is a versatile German actress known for her depth and authenticity in both television and cinema. Growing up as the daughter of a doctor and a psychiatrist, she discovered her passion for the stage early, appearing in theater productions by the age of six.
Her professional breakthrough came in 2000 with the role of Lara Cornelius in the popular soap opera Verbotene Liebe. Since then, she has built a distinguished career, starring in high-profile projects like the thriller "Balloon" (2018), the historical drama "Katharina Luther" (2017), and the acclaimed crime series "Das Geheimnis des Totenwaldes" (2020), which earned her the Bayerischer Fernsehpreis. Beyond her acting talent, she holds a degree in psychology, a background that informs her 2025 appointment as the new police psychologist in the long-running crime series "Tatort" (Kiel).
She is the sister of fellow award-winning actor Albrecht Schuch and currently resides in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with her family.
