Born on February 17, 1973, Madoka Sugawara is a Japanese actress who gained international cult recognition in the early 1990s within the Hong Kong action cinema scene. She is most prominently known for her performance as "Baby" in the 1992 Category III cult classic Naked Killer (Chik loh goh yeung), where she portrayed a lethal, sadistic assassin and the lover of the antagonist Princess, played by Carrie Ng.
Operating also under the alternative name Chisato Tokuda, Sugawara's career is closely associated with the bold, high-octane thrillers characteristic of that era in Hong Kong filmmaking. Following her breakout role, she appeared in other notable productions such as the thriller Rape in Public Sea (1993) and the adult-oriented drama Gigolo II (1996). Her filmography also extends into the late 1990s and early 2000s, including a role in the Japanese anthology True Horror Stories (Honto ni atta kowai hanashi). Despite a relatively short list of credits, her portrayal in Naked Killer remains a defining moment in the "Girls with Guns" subgenre.
