Raised in an Afrikaans-speaking household by her mother Adri, a teacher, and her father Pieter, an advocate, she grew up alongside three siblings, including her sister Lea, who is also an actress.
Her journey in the performing arts began at a young age; she started classical ballet at three and made her professional stage debut at just 15 in a production of Annie Get Your Gun. After matriculating from Jan van Riebeeck High School, she pursued formal training at the Waterfront Theatre School in Cape Town, graduating in 2009 with majors in Stage Acting and Classical Dance.
Vivier rose to international prominence with her breakout role as Flea van Jaarsveld in the HBO series Trackers (2020) and is widely recognized for her portrayal of Petra Potgieter in the hit telenovela Legacy. Most recently, she gained further acclaim for her role as Jessica Dlamini in the Netflix film Umjolo: Day Ones (2024), for which she received a SAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Currently based in Dubai, she continues to work across South Africa and Europe, with major upcoming projects including the film The Trek (2026).
